Annette Funicello is most identified as the star of The Mickey Mouse Club tv show of the mid 1950's. Kids of the fifties put on their mouse ears, tune in to see the show, and hope that Annette will be featured to sing & dance. Later Annette co-stars with Frankie Avalon in Beach Party movies, which gets a lot of teen boys back to the beach and surfing - hoping to impress an Annette look-a-like. Annette Funicello is liked by kids and parents - with her nice manner, goodness and talent. Her records reach the pop charts and are fun to listen to - songs such as Let's Get Together and Tall Paul. Her picture is on many teenage magazine covers.
