Tuesday Weld Early Bio:

Brought up in a cold-water flat in New York--her father died when she was three and she began modeling at five.

She and her mother, Aileen, hit Hollywood in August, 1957, with the help of agent Dick Clayton, who had seen her on a television show in New York. In charge of her career, she gets a small part in a 20th Century Fox movie--She plays the teenage baby sitter in "Rally round the Flag, Boys!".

A contract with 20th provides her first security. A year later at the age of 15 she stars in the TV sitcom, "The Many loves of Dobie Gillis."

Note:   Tuesday Weld is a cast member on "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" for only a few months but her character Thalia is remembered as an intregal part of the show (1959-1960).
