Early Bio:

Bobby Vee while in highschool forms a band called The Shadows. The group hears a call on the radio and fills in for a one night show in Fargo, the "Winter Dance Party". This is the show that Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens was scheduled to play, except for their tragic plane crash. The group pays to record Suzie Baby and Flying at Soma Records. Suzie baby is released by Liberty Records, it reaches #77, and Liberty signs Bobby Vee and the group.
