Annette Funicello was a great role model as a teen idol and as a person to admire. It is a great loss especially to us who grew up with her watching her on the Mickey Mouse Club. It was a special treat on those days she was featured on the show. And what fun to go to the Beach movies and see her and Frankie Avalon surf and all have a good time.

I was in love with Annette Funicello. I think everyone else was too - watching the Mickey Mouse Club. I was 12 years old and she was good looking.
