  1950s sports clothing attire for games and Physical Education Class, gym uniforms were more form fitting. The gym shorts and uniform shorts were shorter, short shorts. Most popular into the mid 1950s was the one piece bloomers with elastic around legs openings.

G.A.A. - Girls Athletic Association
The G.A.A. plays an important role in schools. Through this organization girls meet new friends, build relationships and learn the importance of good sportsmanship. This is an intramural, recreational association, but the girls have activity days (play days) with other schools. The G.A.A. is a very good organization for high school girls.
