Some Like It Hot.   In 1959 Marilyn Monroe stars in the ticklish movie, Some Like It Hot. Her co-stars for the movie, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. It is well-publicized and a hit. Joe and Jerry joined an all-girl band; and no one ever made a more graceful getaway.

Some like it hot. Back in the twenties, all-girl bands were hot stuff. Take Sweet Sue and Her Society Syncopators. Sweet Sue was no bargain, having already seen thirty summers and a few hard winters. But there was a blonde singer with the band, by the name of Sugar Kane, who was quite a dish. Anybody could see she was made for bigger things.

But the most interesting thing about this band was the fact that two of the girls weren't girls at all. The one on the bull fiddle, called Daphne, was actually a Joe named Jerry; and Josephine, on sax, was a Joe by the name of Joe...

All Girls were out to hook a millionaire.

Joe, alias Josephine, had a passion for Sugar and a plan to win her affections. "Girls leave me cold, he complained." Naturally, Sugar had to do something to help. After her kiss, he apologized helplessly; "Sorry, it's no use." So they kept trying again and again and again.
